A simple journal recording some of the events from my past and occasionally the present. Basically this is a place to post the non-hiking outings to help build the self illusion that I actually have a life (thank you very much) ... grin

Touring The Dry Creek In Sonoma County
Here we are at a tasting at the Old Redwood Brewing Company. Might sound strange to be tasting beer while in Sonoma County but it was excellent! Even more strange, our server was a foreign exchange student from France with an extensive wine background. The owners of this brewery also own some wineries and this was a nice blending of the two!
Our hosts for the weekend, Rick and Sherry. Thanks again for a great time!
Dutcher Crossing- this winery was where we had some Awesome Cab- and we ate Chili and Corn Bread
Truett-Hurst Winery, this is the one where we liked all the wines but shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc by the River. The glasses were used to help us see the salmon that was running in the near by river.
Some not pictured ... Bella Vineyards had the perfect Pinot Noir and the music, we sat in the Cave and tasted. Hawley Vineyards was in the town of Healdsberg at their Tasting Room and we enjoyed many tastes and Brenda joined the Wine Club all their wines are affordable and yummy.
