Fourth Half Marathon 2013 - Wennatchee WA

The finish line, first picture is Brenda and I. She wasn't able to do the half due to a foot injury but she didn't let that stop her from running. She toughed out a full 10K with a painful foot every step of the way. Also included are my work buddy Karl and his fiancee Brenda. We had a great weekend with them in Leavenworth.

Best time so far and finally cracked the 2 hour mark with a time of 1:57:53!

Puffing towards the finish line, I was completely spent.

A couple pictures including the new good looking goat at the Leavenworth bridge ... and ... Brenda & I on a morning walk.

First Half Marathon Of 2013 - The Rain Run!

First half marathon of the year, "The Rain Run" was aptly named! Course was flat as a pancake and one of my best times. Finished the 13 miles in 2:01:15 (just missing an under 2 hour goal) with a split time of 9:15 per mile.

I had it in the bag until mile 10, then the DW was moving on fumes. Thighs feel like rip watermelons today but well worth it!

Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon

At the starting line for the Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon. Besides the wine theme, you can probably notice a hint of Halloween flavor!

I didn't take enough pictures, was enjoying the race too much!

Success and look at the medal bling!

Touring The Dry Creek In Sonoma County

Here we are at a tasting at the Old Redwood Brewing Company. Might sound strange to be tasting beer while in Sonoma County but it was excellent! Even more strange, our server was a foreign exchange student from France with an extensive wine background. The owners of this brewery also own some wineries and this was a nice blending of the two!

Our hosts for the weekend, Rick and Sherry. Thanks again for a great time!

Dutcher Crossing- this winery was where we had some Awesome Cab- and we ate Chili and Corn Bread

Truett-Hurst Winery, this is the one where we liked all the wines but shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc by the River. The glasses were used to help us see the salmon that was running in the near by river.

Some not pictured ... Bella Vineyards had the perfect Pinot Noir and the music, we sat in the Cave and tasted.  Hawley Vineyards was in the town of Healdsberg at their Tasting Room and we enjoyed many tastes and Brenda joined the Wine Club all their wines are affordable and yummy.

2012 Steve Prefontaine Memorial Run

Here we are at the start of the 2012 Steve Prefontaine Memorial Run in Coos Bay Oregon! My brother was the runner in my family and he was always enamored with the Steve Prefontaine legend. I had seen the memorial run in some running site and had it on a mini bucket list for a couple years. Very thankful to God that I've been able to enjoy participating in events like these!

I didn't take that many pictures of this race. Here are a few of the ones at the starting line.

I didn't push myself too hard but I didn't take it too easy either. I just wanted to enjoy a challenging run and drink in the atmosphere of this race. I ended up in the middle at finisher 388 out of 810 runners. Brenda came in at the upper middle area at finisher 666.
